These two little cards were made with a mish-mash of materials I had 🙂 The reindeer die was a gift from Simon Says Stamp and can no longer be obtained, so I included some similar reindeer die links below for you. The papers I used were scrap pieces. I love being able to use up my scraps, don’t you?
I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Dies for the snow mounds and Tim Holtz’s Woodlands Dies for the trees. The trees are layered between two of the snow mound cuts. With such detailed dies as these trees, I use my Xyron Machine to add the adhesive. (For further details on how nifty the Xyron is, click here to read my post on these wonderful little machines).
The falling snow and tree ornaments are dotted with Nuvo Drops in Simply White, Autumn Red and Bright Gold.
I used two different products for the snow on each card. For the card with the gold ornaments, I used Alene’s Glitter Snow. I used Marvy’s Liquid Appliqué on the card with the red ornaments. The Marvy Snow “puffs up” when you heat set it. Pretty cool!
I used a Tombow Fude Brush Pen Twin Tip Black & Gray Pen to write the “Peace” sentiment on one card and a Staedtler Fineliner to write “dashing through the snow” on the other card.
Hope your Holidays are wonderful!
