Welcome to Day 3 of the Wild and Wonderful Blog Hop with Catherine Pooler Designs!
You should have arrived here from Allison Cope’s Blog. The complete list is below. Comment to win!
I’ve had a blast playing with this collection! And I still have a multitude of new ideas each time I spread the collection in front of me to start the next card. I used inks from the Life of the Party Collection plus the NEW Grape Crush and Limoncello for this set of cards.
Card number one, below, was white-heat-embossed on to Smoke cardstock using the BFF Background Stamp. On a separate white cardstock, I stamped and die-cut flowers and leaves from the Wonderful Wildflowers stamp set. I cut a strip of Midnight cardstock and white-heat-embossed a sentiment from A Note of Thanks stamp set. I adhered these on to the grey embossed panel, popping up the sentiment strip and a single flower with dimensional foam tape. Then I added a few sparkly rhinestones.
Card number two was created by, first, die-cutting the In Flight Butterfly Die on to my top panel. I used the top panel cut-out to trace the butterfly onto a second, smaller white panel. Then I stamped the Wonderful Wildflowers with the confines of the tracing. This was then adhered to the top layer. I traced within the design again with a black fineliner to create definition, so the butterfly would stand out a little more. The sentiment is from the same floral set. Then I finished it with a length of black and white tine and a few rhinestones.
Card number three was made using the Kaleidoscope Background stamp which I stamped with Midnight on to a white panel. On a smaller white card layer, I die-cut a window using a Circle Die and stamped my sentiment. On a third piece of white cardstock, I used the background stamp again and colored in the part that would fill in my circled window. I layered the three panels together, using dimensional adhesive foam between the bottom and middle layer. Then, of course, came the sparkly rhinestones 🙂
You will notice that I like using a black layer of cardstock to frame my “artwork.”
Thanks so much for hanging out with all of us today! Everything in the NEW Wild and Wonderful Collection release, including items I used above, is listed at the bottom of this post.
