This week, I needed an impromptu get well card, so I created this little quickie card.
I used Hero Arts Gold Shadow Ink to stamp the flowers on to Fabriano’s Watercolor Paper. This ink is very faint, as I wanted to hand-draw the flowers in later. The images are from Hero Arts Garden Flowers Stamp Set plus a single daisy from My Favorite Things Springtime Blooms Stamp Set. (The Hero Arts set is discontinued but can still be found HERE and HERE).
Then the real fun began 🙂 I started painting with several Prima Watercolor palettes. I love this part!
After drying time, I lettered the sentiment with Tombow’s Dual Brush Black Pen. Then I drew in the faint outlines of the gold shadow ink with Tombow’s Mono Drawing Pens. I accented the flowers with Clear PICO Embellisher, Ranger Periwinkle Liquid Pearls in Periwinkle and Ranger Sunflower Enamel Accents. I followed that with random dots of Ranger Black Enamel Accents.
Finally I attached this layer to my black-on-white card base.
