This card has a little bit of everything; watercoloring, drawing, stamping and a die-cut 🙂 It’s so close to Valentine’s Day and I haven’t made a single Valentine’s card!
On a piece of 3.75″ x 5″ Fabriano Watercolor Paper, I drew a large heart, nestling in two, smaller hearts slightly underneath the large one. It may take a little erasing and re-drawing to get it the way you want.
Then I painted in the hearts with a combination of two palettes by Prima in Tropical and The Classics. I used somewhat more water on the large one to produce a little melding. I allowed it to airdry first, then made sure it was completely dry with my heat gun. I brushed on some Clear Glitter by Wink of Stella to the hearts.
I outlined the three hearts with a Tombow MONO Drawing Pen .05 and created a little shadowing with Tombow Dual Brush Pen 373. I added highlights with a Pentel Hybrid White Gel Pen.
Now, find some little heart stamps in your collection to randomly place little black, inked hearts around your watercolor or just draw them with a black drawing pen. Then find your chosen word die. “Love” seems most appropriate, don’t ya think 🙂 Mine is by Catherine Pooler, but is no longer available. I’ve listed a couple sources below.
Have a great day!
