This is a simple card; no heat-embossing, although you certainly could do a number of variations 🙂
Simon Says Stamp is one of the companies from which I subscribe to a monthly kit. These are well worth the value! This particular set is from one of their past kits named Handwritten Floral Greetings. The individual items can still be obtained from Simon Says Stamp’s online store.
So let’s get started.
I usually set up the card base first. It really doesn’t matter which you start with. I layered a sheet from the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 6 x 6 Paper Pack on to a white card base, followed by a black piece of cardstock and set those aside.
Then I started with the top, white layer of cardstock, first stamping the flowers and leaves from Handwritten Floral Greetings Stamp Set and then the sentiment, all with Intense Black Ink. The stamp set has individual petal stamps that I used to fill in the petals and leaves; the petals with Steel Blue and Cloudy Sky ink and the leaves with Willow ink. The stamp set also has little dots. I used those with the color inks to create random dots.
Finally, I swept the petals and leaves with a layer of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter, placed a yellow enamel dot in the center of the flower and placed it on to my pre-prepped card base.
Ta-da!
