Hello All!
I would call this a Joyous card 🙂 It just seems so cheerful!
I started off with a 3.74″ x 5″ piece of watercolor paper by Tim Holtz. I stamped the flower images and the sentiment with Catherine Pooler’s Black Inkpad. This is my go-to for almost all black-colored stamping. It’s bold, and works well with both water-based and alcohol-based mediums. Because of the texture of the watercolor paper, you may have a few small gaps. I filled these in with a Staedtler Pigment Fineliner Pen.
Because I wanted my flowers to be layered, I used the coordinating die-cuts to create pieces to mask off the over-lapping flowers.
I colored these in with Zig Clean Color Brush Pens and Sakura Sai Brush Pens. These pens are great if you choose to make watercolor effects, as well. In fact, I smoothed the color in a little with a detailer water brush.
I used Nuvo Crystal Glaze to fill in the four, small, stray flowers for some dimension, and added some specks of Nuvo Black Crystal Drops.
And that’s it for today 🙂
