I few weeks ago, I was playing around with Lia Griffith’s Build-a-Wreath stamp set by Hero Arts. I was so happy with the variations that can be created with this set! I had made a quickie card to try the set out; someone saw it, and ordered six of them from me, so I thought I’d share the creation with you.
First, I laid out nine 3.75″ x 5″ cardstock layers in front of me, because if you look closely at my pervious posts, you know that I make frequent mistakes 🙂 I began by making a border, rather than a wreath, of foliage. I used various shades of Catherine Poolers Ink Pad Set for this. Then followed with the pinecones, poinsettias and a snowflake.
I hand-lettering the Joy sentiment with a red Tombow Dual Tip Brush Pen and added a shadow with Tombow’s Dual Tip Pen in Black & Gray. I used Ranger’s Pearl Liquid Pearls to dot each letter.
As for details… I colored in the detail on the birds using Tombow’s Mono Drawing pen 03. I dotted Ranger’s Gold Liquid Pearls randomly around the card layer and covered each pine cone with Clear Pico IrRESISTible Embellisher. The center of the flowers were dotted with Caribbean Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops.
Finally, I layered my panels onto a white card base with a black mat.
