Here’s one more Father’s Day card for you… I posted another, previously, HERE. I struggle a little bit with masculine cards. It’s difficult for me to resist adding frills, bright colors and bling 🙂
First I created my trellis by stamping, on a separate sheet, with Catherine Pooler’s BFF Background Stamp using Midnight Ink. With this large stamp, I simply laid the stamp on my table, inked it up and then laid down the layer of white cardstock. I rubbed it with my fingers and pulled the piece up off the stamp. I hand-cut the section of the pattern that I wanted and adhered it to my top card panel.
I used some aqua and green scrap cardstock for the leaves. The die set is Catherine Pooler’s Fallen Leaves. I interchanged the colors of the swirly leaves, arranged them on my trellis and glued all the leaves down. I wrapped Lawn Fawn’s Black Tie Twine around this top layer and tied a bow.
I used EK Tools Scallop Punches, sized 1.5″ and 1.75″, one in black and one in white, to create my sentiment window. I wrote my sentiment and adhered it to my card with dimensional foam tape. I finished the card with some Black Ranger Enamel Accents dotted around and layered it onto my black and white card base.
Thanks for checking in today and have a great weekend!
