Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Fall Frenzy.”
I love to come up with unconventional and unexpected ways to use stamps and ink colors. For instance, I have previously used elements from Christmas stamps to make spring and summer cards. Today’s card, rather than brown, orange and burgundy, I have used blues and purples in my Fall Frenzy design.
We are using Stampin Up Glossy Cardstock as our canvas. I just started using this glossy goodness within the last week and love it! It makes your artwork so vivid!
To start, cut the glossy panel to 3.75″ x 5″. (We will use a 4″ x 5.25″ black card panel to layer it with on completion). Stamp the flowers and leaves using the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and the little asterisk row from the Daisy Delight set in Wisteria Wonder, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Island Indigo, Perfect Plum, and Rich Razzleberry ink colors.
Add some veins with a Journaling Pen in the larger leaves. Then dot the center of the asterisk-looking flowers with Black Nuvo Crytal Drops. The sentiment is stamped with Jet Black StāzOn Ink Pad.
(Supplies are listed at the bottom of this post).
Be careful that you let the ink dry before handling the card; the glossy cardstock requires a little drying time, but the results are amazing!
