I’ve seen this technique done before but doubted my ability to pull it off easily. Guess what? It is SO simple!
Really, all you have to do is switch the shim with which you die-cut with a rubber or cardstock shim and then use your chosen stencil in place of the die onto some cardstock. That’s it!

- Stamp: Nordic Stars
- Dies: Happy Holidays Word, Nordic Stars
- Stencil: Snowfall
- Inks: It’s a Boy, Rouge
- Other: WOW Bright White Embossing Powder on the stars, Winter White Nuvo Glacier Paste, silver cord

Hi Nanette 🙂 I was a bit intimidated of trying to use a die as an embossing plate!!! Soooooo thankful for those like yourself who are willing to go ahead and leave a trail. I think I’ll be trying a stencil next! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂
