Hero Arts has many fun stamp layering sets. This one is Color Layering Fall Trees. Although it is autumn-themed, today we’re going to create a Spring/Summer card, as well. Versatility! Don’t you love it ?!
Both panels were die-cut with Avery Elle’s Wonky Stitch Dies from white cardstock. Along with the Color Layering Fall Trees stamp set, I also used Hero Arts Spring Hello by Lia stamp set.
I used Tim Holtz’s Stamp Platform for this project. This, at first, I thought was a luxury purchase for me, especially since I already have a Misti Stamp Tool. I had just bought it a week ago, and today was the first time I have used it. I no longer consider it a luxury purchase. It is an essential! 🙂
I used the rich, brilliant colors from Catherine Pooler’s Ink Pad Collection. The ground layer below the trees was created by using the tree-top stamps from the set. You can use sticky notes to mask of the edges so you don’t stamp over the stitching.
I finished these with some Stickles for a little bling; One card in gold, the other in silver, which are a little difficult to detect in my photo, but does look nice. Then I adhered them to my pre-prepped card bases.
Have a great day!
