Bullet Journal Art in the Canvo

January 24, 2019 by Nanette

I wanted to share some fun bullet journal spreads with you today. These are pages I’ve completed in the last month or so. I’m always looking for new inspiration to create my pages. And I hope these inspire you.

First pencil in the “2019. Then stamp over the lines with a bunch of florals and tropical leaves. Use a border stamp in Twilight and then hand-letter, with a brush pen, the intro and “welcome.”

Don’t be afraid of making mistakes in your journal. Every page of my bullet journal contains mistakes!

Everyone has their own way of planning, list-making, tracking, and journaling. If you are new to this, you will find your own way over time. I’ve been doing this for about 25 years and I’ve developed a way that works for me. It keeps my brain and my life far less frazzled. If I write it down, I can keep my head clear. Most of my very important planning is done in another specific business-related planner (which I also take time to make pretty because it inspires ME). Whereas my Canvo Bullet Journal is for moderate weekly planning and TONS of important work and business pages, lists, tracking, and other important information. I “tab” the pages for easy reference, as I use these sections often.

These pages were made with the stamp and stencil from the February Club Canvo Collection, assorted floral stamps, and Catherine Pooler Inks. And a little hand-lettering. I used the Leaf Motifs stamp set in the January weekly photo. The January monthly calendar is stamped with the Wild Bloom and Wild Garden stamp sets.

I also take time to make my planners, bullet journals and travelers notebooks look pretty. Consequently they double as art journals. It’s a way to be creative and artistic every day. Once I no longer need the information, I still have the art to look back on and inspire me. It’s a great way to look back and see how much I’ve improved with daily practice.

I color in the open images in a couple of ways. One way is to use colored pens such as Tombow Dual Brush Pens or even Crayola markers. Another method that I use just as often is dipping a blending pen into the coordinating ink pads. (To clean in between colors, just color off onto a blank scrap of paper until the pen writes clear again).

A great tool to use for bullet journaling is STENCILS such as the Calendar and Boxes Stencil used to create this page.
Using the Bring on January (Club Canvo) and Daily Plan stamp set
Made with the Hey There February (Club Canvo) stamp set. You can make text and calendars boxes by tracing around a decorative frame die as shown here.

You can find thousands of ideas on Pinterest and Instagram. I am always posting my pages on my Instagram HERE. Be sure and tag me with your pages–I’d love to see them!

Have a great day!

Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long)
so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to
the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for first-time blog writers?
    I’d genuinely appreciate it.
