Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop! This month’s theme is “Masculine.”
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I have probably never even posted a masculine card. I don’t know… Maybe once. It’s not that I don’t enjoy them, because I thoroughly enjoyed making this one. I think it’s because, in some areas, I simply lack imagination 🙂 However, If I do say so myself, I think this one turned out pretty cute!
For the leafy background, I used the new paper that just came out by Stampin’ Up from the Share What You Love Gotta Have it All Bundle. I’m sure you already have a great piece of patterned paper in your own stash 🙂 The stamp and die set is from their Apron of Love Bundle. Look how versatile it is! It can be used for men, women, and multiple occasions…
I used black cardstock with all the die-cuts, except for the BBQ utensils, which were die-cut on Silver Foil Cardstock. I used a Sakura Decorese White Pen to make faux stitching on the apron, pocket, and mitt.
The banner was just a hand-cut piece of black scrap cardstock. On it and the apron, I stamped sentiments with Versamark and then heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I used a red marker to color the little heart on the chest of the apron.
I layered and adhered all my pieces using adhesive and Dimensionals. The strip of burlap is Stampin’ Up’s Burlap Ribbon.
