Welcome to The Card Concept #100 Challenge! Thank you, Susan, for inviting me to join this milestone occasion 🙂
And here is the inspiration photo for this challenge:
I was inspired by the non-traditional gold and pink color combination. And when I started my card, I also chose to add some aqua/teal.
To create this card, start with a 3.75″ x 5″ panel. Stamp a sentiment like the one I used from Catherine Pooler’s Autumn Blessings with embossing ink and then heat-emboss with gold embossing powder.
Using the same set, Autumn Blessings (or pumpkin stamps you may already have in your stash), stamp a couple pumpkins on full-adhesive sticky notes or masking paper to create some masks. Cut those out and use them to stamp a line of pumpkins, as shown in my card, to make the first layer of pumpkins. I used Coral Cabana and Skylight and then Midnight for the leaves and stems.
On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp your top layer of pumpkins and hand-cut those out. I used three different methods to add gold accents to the pumpkins. I cut one of the masks in half horizontally, masked off the upper half of the pumpkins and then heat-embossed with gold powder. One of the pumpkins was given three horizontal lines with Nuvo Gold Crustal Drops, and the rest were accented with a Nuvo Gold Glitter Marker. Attach these to your panel a little lower than the first line of pumpkins with dimensional adhesive foam tape.
Now to make the snowy “ground,” use a Ranger Emboss It Brush Pen to fill in the ground area and then emboss with WOW Opaque Bright White Ultra High Powder which gives a puffy effect.
If you’d like, add a little highlight to your pumpkins with a Sakura Decorese White Pen. I also added a some Lawn Fawn Cord to the corner. Mount your panel on to a black-on-white card base, which will bring out the stems and leaves.
