Adoring You

January 7, 2020 by Nanette

Here’s a post I published exactly one year ago. I thought it would be fun to revisit it — The Adoring You Collection was such a fun collection for me! It held lots of options — graduation, new home, love, new job, anniversary, baby and more.

Here are a couple of cards I made with this fun, fun collection.

Card #1

Stamps: Congratulations, Happy Together, Sweet Home Wreath

Ink: Coral Cabana, Samba, Aquatini, Something Borrowed, Tiara, Lime Rickey, Icing on the Cake, Black Jack

Paper: White

Accessories: Purple Tape, Black pen

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11″, score at 5 ½” and fold in half. Set aside to use as your card base.

2. Trim a piece of White cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4″, stamp the edges, alternating Aquatini and Lime Rickey. Glue to card base.

3. Trim a piece of White cardstock to 3.75 x 5″ and stamp the SOLID bird from Happy Together in Aquatini. Mask the bird with a piece of Purple Tape, stamp the branch over it with Icing on the Cake and remove the tape.

4. Stamp the SOLID leaves and the tiny heart in Aquatini, Something Borrowed, Tiara and Lime Rickey.

5. Trail a series of SOLID flowers, hearts and SOLID leaves, stamping below the bird in Aquatini, Something Borrowed, Tiara, Lime Rickey, Coral Cabana, and Samba. Join the images with a black “tail” (like a kite tail) using a black pen.

6. Stamp over these images with the DETAILED stamps using Black Jack ink.

7. On a separate piece of white cardstock, stamp the swirly wreath in Aquatini, cut it out and trim it to fit the corner of the card and then stamp “dream” three times in Tiara, Coral Cabana and then Samba. Adhere to the bottom, right corner of the card with foam tape. Glue this completed panel to the assembled card base.

Card #2

Stamps: Sweet Home Wreath, The Key, Love Note

Ink: It’s a Girl, Mint to Be, Midnight

Paper: White, Vellum

Accessories: Gold Cord, Zig Blender, Vegas Baby Sequins, WOW Gold Rich, Wow Embossing Ink, Circle Dies

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11″, score at 5 ½” and fold in half.Set aside to use as your card base.

a. Trim a piece of White cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4 inches, stamp the edges with embossing ink and heat-emboss with embossing powder. Set aside.

3. Trim a piece of White cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4 inches and stamp each quarter of the panel with alternating ink. Adhere to the gold-embossed panel with glue.

4. Die cut a vellum piece with a 3.25″ circle die. Set aside.

5. Die cut a white panel with a 2.75″ circle die, stamp with the swirly wreath in both inks, stamp the sentiment in the center with Midnight ink and adhere to vellum circle with glue. Adhere this ensemble onto the inked and gold embossed panels with foam tape, slightly to the right of the card.

6. Heat emboss the key and heart with Gold Rich, cut by hand, and hole-punch with a 1/16th punch. Fill in with color using the Zig Blending Pen by sponging some ink onto an acrylic block and picking up the ink with the pen.

7. Cut a piece of gold cord and dangle the key and heart down the card, taping down the loose ends behind the card. Adhere the key and heart with foam tape, and glue completed panel to card base. Embellish with Sequins.

Thanks for hanging out with me today!
