Oh my goodness! I loved making this card. Unfortunately, I could not get a fantastic photo-shot to show how pretty it is in person (if I do say so myself). 🙂
I’ve had this WPlus9 Peonies Stamp Set for a few weeks and have been anxious to use it. I have also been wanting to combine a gold-embossed watercolor effect with a floral stamp set, and this one seemed perfect!
First, I stamped the image using embossing ink onto Fabriano’s Watercolor Paper. Then I heat-embossed with gold embossing powder. The Zing Gold Glitter Embossing Powder is a brilliant gold and gave me just the effect I was looking for.
I used colors from two different metallic watercolor palettes to fill in the color. I daubed Tumbled Glass Distress Ink around the “white space” and edges. After drying, I sprayed Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist onto the entire layer.
I stamped the sentiment and then added Your Next Stamp Gumdrops; clear ones on the petals and leaves, and pink ones on the corner.
