UPDATED June 19, 2017 — Our Winner is Gina T!
Congratulations Gina!
Gina has won the Modern Florals Book, Fineliner Pens and Markers.
Stay tuned; I have more giveaways in the near, near future 🙂
I have drawn and lettered my entire life, but wouldn’t necessarily consider myself as particularly skilled. So I seek out aids in the form of blogs, books and tutorials to hone my so-called skills. I recently bought How To Draw Modern Florals: An Introduction To The Art of Flowers, Cacti, and More by Alli Koch (See below how to WIN a copy!) and have been practicing, practicing, practicing.
Today, I have made a card with a cactus drawing I created last night. The photo and supplies are listed below, but first let’s get on with the Giveaway 🙂
This Giveaway Includes tools to help get you started:
- How To Draw Modern Florals: An Introduction To The Art of Flowers, Cacti, and More by Alli Koch
- One Pack of 6 Staedtler Neon Fineliners
- One Pack of 12 Crayola Fine Line Markers
No purchase necessary. Just enter below, and Good Luck!
(Giveaway Terms: United States residents only. No purchase necessary. Must be over 17 years of age. Giveaway ends Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 11:59 pm, Mountain Time. The winner will be announced by Monday, June 19, 2017. This Giveaway is not sponsored.)
So here is my little card 🙂
First I drew and colored in the Cactus and then cut it carefully with precision scissors. If you have a tablet such as an iPad, Wacom (I use a Wacom drawing tablet) or such with a drawing or paint app, you can draw and erase to your heart’s content until your drawing comes out right.
I die-cut the stitched ovals and then sponged some green and blue ink onto the white oval. I stamped a sentiment and then mounted the cut-out cactus with dimensional adhesive foam, both onto the white oval. I layered the floral scrap piece (sorry I don’t have a reference for the floral scrap) onto the card base and added the layered oval pieces on top.
