I so enjoyed the Joy Clair GROW WITH FAITH stamp set that we worked with a few weeks ago, that I wanted to play with it again today.
I started by spraying white card stock (cut to 5 1/4″ x 4″) with Heidi Swapp’s Colorshine Spray in Ocean and Patina. While that was drying, I took another piece of white card stock and started stamping my images using Momento’s Tuxedo Black. I stamped the watering can on a separate small piece. Since I planned to color the image with alcohol markers, I used a dye ink to prevent smearing.
Which is what I did next 🙂 I used Chameleon’s Marker Pens to color in my image. The neat thing about these pens is that they are so easily blendable. (Check out the demo on their website to find out how here).
I hand-cut the watering can. Then I die cut the entire “Bloom” image with Sizzix’s Stitched Oval Die and adhered it slightly off-center on to the previously-sprayed card layer to allow room for the watering can. I adhered the watering can in the corner using dimensional foam dots.
For waterdrop effects, I used Pico Clear Embellisher, White Enamel Acccents, and Duck Egg Blue Nuvo Crystal Drops.
I attached this layer to a Kraft card base.
Just a note; the Heidi Swapp sprays show such a pretty shimmer on the blue-green background 🙂
