This card has elements from a few different CP stamp sets, including the newly released Dried Treasures Stamp Set.
To make the watercolor-wash background, you want to lay down some swishes of plain water with a paintbrush onto watercolor paper, and then dip the brush into a paint to pick up some color and dab or swish it in. Add more colors the same way. If you feel like you’ve added too much color, you can suck it up with a paper towel. Be sure the colors meld without getting muddy: don’t over-swish, and don’t use conflicting colors. For instance, orange and green will turn brown, whereas blue and green will turn a pretty teal.
After the panel dried, with Midnight ink, I stamped botanicals from the Dried Treasures and Fresh Picked Floral Stamp Sets. I painted all those in. On a piece of vellum, I stamped a sentiment from the Fun Forest Stamp Set, trimmed it and adhered it to my card. Then I stamped, painted and hand-cut the butterfly from the Headers and Icons Stamp Set and adhered it to my card. I finished with a “trail” of Tuscany Sequins.
Have a wonderful day!
