Here’s a card made I made with a few Scrapbook.com Exclusive products…
The card panel was blended with Cardinal Red and Midnight Blue. Then “stitching” was penned in around the edge with a white pen. The large and medium/small Nested Stars were die-cut from white cardstock, carefully positioning them on the cutting plates so they are centered. Then it was adhered to the card, slightly askew with the edges trimmed to align with the panel. Part of the “Joy to the World” sentiment from the Big Bold Christmas Stamp set was heat-embossed with white embossing powder on the corner of the panel. “JOY” was stamped in Midnight Blue, hand-cut into separate pieces, and then adhered with the Double-sided Adhesive Small Circles. And then the letters were dotted with Nuvo Crystal Drops. Ta-da!

Another tradition I have is making a garnet yam dish for Thanksgiving. I first made it many years ago when taking a microwave cooking class at my local junior college. It was such a hit, I have made it every year since then! Even people who say they don’t care for yams much, like this recipe!

Love the patriotic Christmas card. One of my favorite Christmas memories is my family going to see the National Tree on the National Mall. We always liked to walk around and see the different state trees and see how many states we have lived or visited.
Corrie Hanson says
What a fun idea!! You could use the same color techniques and stars for the fourth with just a different sentiment!
Christmas for me is filled with so many memories. My favorite memory is being with my Grama and seeing what color her tree was each year … either traditional (multi color w/ silver icicles), or a Chrismon tree with white/gold ornaments (all of which were hand-made). This will be our 2nd Christmas without her. I would give anything to see her tree again (she was 102 the last time she put her tree up … She would have been 104 on Dec. 3rd.) I miss her and all her traditions! (a.k.a. Corrie Hanson @ cozycorner1902@gmail.com)

I LOVE YOUR RED WHITE AND BLUE message of Joy. I am very patriotic, so this is perfect to me. I think that I will send a Christmas card to our president and his family. Thanks for causing me to start a new tradition 🙂
Sharon Salerno says
Your card is beautiful! Our tradition was to get together with family and friends and make Italian Christmas cookies. The dough is similar to noodle dough but sweet, then deep fried and dipped in warm honey. The dough is rolled out and cut into designs. My favorite is braiding strips. When fried the dough bubbles up and when dipped on honey those bubbles fill with honey. An all day project but so much fun!
Lynne Selleck says
Nanette, I never thought of that colour combination as Christmasy colours but seeing your card makes me rethink it. It is a bright youthful card and I love it. For Christmas this year our family is starting a new tradition of the adults only swapping handmade items to each other or time.
