I have only a little more than a handful of background stamps. When I saw this one used on Instagram, I HAD to have it!
I wish the photo picked up the shimmer, clear dimension and texture. It really does “shine!”
To create this card, first, take a piece of Canson Watercolor Paper cut about 3/75″ x 5.5 ” and heat-emboss it with WOW Bright White Embossing Powder using the Catherine Pooler Peace, Love, and Doves Background Stamp.
(As usual, of course, I encourage you to use stamps and supplies already in your stash. I always state the exact supplies I used because I will be asked multiple times, which is also okay.)
Paint the embossed piece with watercolors, such as Altenew Watercolor Palette, and mix in a little Winsor & Newton Iridescent Medium for some beautiful shimmer effects. If you don’t want to do such detailed painting, you can do some loose watercolors like I did HERE.
After some drying time, add some Copper Nuvo Crystal Drops to the berries and coat your doves with Judikins Diamond Glaze. It will be GORGEOUS!
Adhere two strips of copper metallic cardstock to the two vertical sides of your card base and then glue your pretty art piece down.
Emboss your sentiment onto white cardstock using WOW Metallic Copper Powder, hand-cut it into a banner shape and then outline it with a copper-colored Nuvo Glitter Pen. Adhere it to your artwork and add a few drops of the Nuvo Drops, if desired.
Have a great day!
