I love the simplicity of this cute set by Reverse Confetti. And those shapes! Those can be used for just about anything, year around. The set is called Triangle Trees and that’s what we’ll be doing today 🙂
To create this card, first use one of the tree stamps, any one of them, and mount it backwards on your stamp block. You want a solid triangle with no pattern. This technique of using the reverse side of the stamp is great for other stamps and designs, too. (For instance, try stamping with a floral stamp using the backside, and then stamping with another color with the patterned side. Now you have a “layered” image!)
I used three ink colors for this card; Catherine Pooler Eucalyptus, Skylight, and Royal Treatment. Try using your stash of non-traditional colors for this Holiday card 🙂
Stamp a pattern on each triangle with embossing ink, then heat-emboss with a gold, silver or any other color that you like. The color shown is WOW Platinum Embossing Powder. Platinum is a favorite of mine–It’s kind of a cross between Gold and Silver. Then, die-cut each piece and glue two of the trees down. Pop up the center tree with dimensional foam.
The sentiment is embossed with the same embossing powder. The second card layer is made by putting your ink pad direct-to-paper all around the edges. I chose a white card base, but you may also like a black or Kraft card base. Then finish with a few sequins or rhinestones for “stars.”
In the future, we will be making a non-holiday card with this set 🙂
Thanks so much for hanging out with me, today!
