Kind of Wonderful

OK… Two of the products used in this card were designed and illustrated by ME! These were released a couple years ago, but are a definite favorite of mine. Of course 🙂

The two designs I created for this release are the Kind of Wonderful Stamp Set and the coordinating Three of a Kind Die Set. The stamp set has many additional words in the set that can be arranged in quite a few different phrases! To help show off these sets today, we will be using the Hello Autumn Stamp and Die Set. It’s a beautiful multi-layer stamp set illustrated by Traci Reed.

The Three of a Kind Die Set has three layering dies, which each can also be used on its own. There is the (small) contour die, the (medium) cookie-cutter die, and the (large) background die. A three-layer die was a first for the shop, so that’s pretty cool 🙂

First, we will start off by stamping a 3.75″ x 5″ white cardstock panel with the BFF Background Stamp using Twilight Ink. Now we will stamp “Kind,” with ink colors Tutti Frutti, Party Dress and Melon Ice on a second white layer, then die-cut the image with the small die. Use the medium die on Twilight-inked cardstock to cut the second piece. With the large die, cut the Vellum piece. Glue them together, as shown. This arrangement of layers creates such nice dimension!

The Hello Autumn Stamp set has four different leaves (and a pair of acorns), each with four steps. Pretty cool, huh? Since the main sentiment, we are working with has so much detail from the little floral elements to the three-layer dies, you may want to just use a single layer, which is the first step of Hello Autumn leaves. We’ll use the same ink colors, Tutti Frutti, Party Dress and Melon Ice to stamp three leaves and then die-cut them with the coordinating die.

Layer your KIND ensemble and leaves as shown (or any other arrangement you prefer). Ink your sentiment with Midnight Ink. It will stand out nicely from the Twilight-stamped background.

Then complete your card with a few Nuvo Gems, a 4″ x 5.25″ Twilight-edged white cardstock, and then adhere it to a white card base.
