One thing that has certainly improved my creativity and my artistic skills has been to create something every day. I either draw, letter, paint or make a card. Every day. I’m not perfect. Yet 🙂 But I consistently see improvement.
So on that note… Here’s my little creation today.
So let’s get the die-cutting done first. The bottom layers were cut with a Postage Stamp Die and a Stitched Frame Die. The flowers were die-cut from ink-smeared cardstock using the same colors I used on the rest of the card: Catherine Pooler’s Polished, Stone Blue, Skylight and Rose Petals. The flowers are from Catherine Pooler’s Ovals and Flowers Dies Set. Finally, I die-cut four sentiments from the Create Die using black cardstock. Then I glued these four sentiments together to create one thick die-cut.
Now on to the top, white cardstock panel… I stamped the Oval Stamp with the four colors mentioned above to mimic an ombre effect. Then I stamped the Create sentiments in three of those colors with the Every Day stamp done in Midnight Ink. I used a fineliner to fill in the first word, just for the heck of it 🙂
I glued the flowers on, popping up a few of them with Foam Dimensionals. I glued the Create Die-cut onto the panel, then accented it even more with Glossy Accents. Doesn’t it look cool? I also applied some to a few of the flower centers.
After layering my panels onto the card base, I finished the card with some Rhinestones.
See you next time 🙂
Have a great day!
