Holiday cards bring me a special joy. I am such a Winter Holiday lover that I try to bring the same joy to others through my cards. This particular card was both fun and easy to make.
I began by lettering the sentiment first. I did this by sponging Tsukineko Brilliance Galaxy Gold Dew Drop onto an acrylic stamp block. Then I took a wet #2 round brush, dipped it in the gold ink and lettered my sentiment on to a 3.75″ x 5″ panel of black card stock. I stamped the center tree with the same ink pad and then heat-embossed both the lettering and the image with Nuvo Classic Gold Embossing Powder. These are the only parts of the card I embossed as I wanted the sentiment and gold tree to really stand out. (Note: Almost any two to three-inch Christmas tree stamp you may already have will work just fine. The set I am demonstrating is discontinued).
I stamped on either side of the gold tree an additional tree; one in Platinum Planet and one in Cosmic Copper. The Brilliance Inks are so luscious that embossing is hardly necessary.
I dotted irRESISTible PICO Embellisher in Shimmer around the top third of the panel to represent snow or stars. I topped each of the trees with irRESISTible PICO Embellisher in Gold.
The finished work was then mounted onto a black card base layered with a shiny, gold card panel.
Have a great day!
