Here’s a whimsical little birthday card that’s fun to make.
First, I sponged on some green shading along the bottom of a white card panel with Memento Ink Dew Drop Inks. I used the same inks in floral colors for my flower shapes which I sponged on to the panel with Ranger’s Blending Tools, which are circular daubers.
Then I die-cut my flower shapes with Paper Smooches Garden Bloom and Dainty Flower Dies from black cardstock. I glued these on to the sponged card panel with Imagine Craft’s On Point Glue. This glue has a super-fine point for precise application to intricate projects such as this. Then I colored in the leaves a little more with a colored pencil.
I hand lettered the sentiment with a brush pen and detailed it with a Staedtler Fineliner and a White Gelly Roll Pen.
I added a little dimension to a couple flower centers, the leaves and some random “dew drops” with irRESISTible Clear Pico Embellisher.
Simple and cute 🙂
Have a great day!
