At only six years old, in the early 70’s, with fifty cents in my pocket, you would find me, not in the toy section, (yes, you could get something fairly nifty for a couple quarters back then) but in the office supply section at the local ‘super market.’ I’d be eagerly deciding between a little pack of notepads or a mini stapler. As soon as I arrived home, my carefully decided purchase would be placed safely in my ‘desk’ – the bottom drawer of my dresser – which was the only space I didn’t have to share with my little sister. (Whom, by the way had no respect for my fine treasures!)
Over the years my love affair with all-things-paper grew…
My office sprouted over time with notepads and paper, stickers and tape, planners and planner accessories, staplers, rulers, pencils, washi, ribbon, markers, paints and brushes. Before I knew it there were Desk Organizers, Silhouettes, a Sizzix Big Shot, Planner Punches, and a Cricut.
Thanks to social media, I soon realized there was a whole community of paper loving souls just like me! Eeeks!
Now, I enjoy watching others appreciate their ‘fine treasures’ as I have mine for the last 40+ years. Come along and hop into our little blog boat and enjoy the ride!
